Hertz & McElwaine is pleased to announce that they will be relocating their main office to the Hanover Office Park, 7307 "A" Hanover Parkway, Greenbelt, Maryland by the end of the year.

The firm plans to open an office in Howard County Maryland in the near future to better serve our clients in Howard, Anne Arundel and Baltimore.

Bradley Cohen, Esquire is now an associated with the firm, concentrating his practice in personal injury litigation, workers' compensation, business matters and criminal law.

Bar Activities:

Ray Hertz continues to serve the Maryland State Bar, Prince Georges County Bar Association and Maryland Trial Lawyers Association in a number of activities. During the past year, Ray was the immediate past chair of the MSBA'S NEGLIGENCE, INSURANCE, WORKERS' COMPENSATION SECTION. Ray was please to be a lecturer in the "HOT TIPS in WORKERS' COMPENSATION, MICPEL program and he played the claimant in a mock hearing at the Bar Convention in Ocean City. Ray also co-chaired "SOLO DAY" at the Bar Convention for the 4^th year in a row.

Ray was named Co-Chair of the MSBA Travel Committee and was the program chair for the trip to Punta Canta in April.

Ray continues to assist other attorneys in solo and small firm practices as Chair of the Solo Section for the PGCBA. An article will appear in next month's bar journal on the Pitfalls of Sharing Space. We continue to assist our clients and other lawyers with technology consultations and law office management.

Domestic law provides new challenges for the Firm. We both prosecute and defend Domestic Violence matters in Maryland and will assist our clients in all contested family law cases.

As a full service law firm, we continue to represent clients in REAL ESTATE SETTLEMENTS, AND LITIGATION, ESTATE PLANING AND NOW ELDER LAW. With our association with other law offices we can assist clients in Bankruptcy, Estate Planning, Business Planning and other not litigation transactions.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

Ray and Harriet Hertz have their first grandchild, Jackson Robert Engle, born September 1, 2002. Michelle and Bryan Engle are the proud parents of a baby boy, nick named "Billy Bob" until he was born.
