The American Bar Association, General and Solo Practice Section, announced that RAYMOND M. HERTZ has been awarded the GP Link Award as BAR LEADER OF THE YEAR FOR 1998. Ray was nominated by the Solo and Small Firm Practice Section of the Maryland State Bar Association for his extraordinary efforts of behalf of solo and small firm lawyers as former Chair of the Section, Council member and on the Standing Committee for Solo and Small Firm Practice.

Raymond M. Hertz, Greenbelt, Md. received the GP Link Award. for his contributions to Maryland State Bar and its General Practice Section, where he has served as both officer and chair. Hertz has also served as chair of the Law Office Management Administrative Services Committee, was appointed to serve on the Maryland State Bar Standing Committee on the Solo and Small Practice. Hertz is recognized for his leadership efforts in Section membership and development and his participation in educational programs in the areas of law office management and technology Hertz also participates in the Section's Resource Network, which assists lawyers in solo and small firms who have questions about law office management and technology.
